December 2008 - Beyonce
If I were a boy... this has to be the best pop song I've heard in ages, ignoring the message sent out by the video and the lyrics aside its sung absolutely brilliantly by the wonderful talented Beyonce. The music has been composed brilliantly as well. Feminists will love the message that the pop video sends out but most normal folks will be able to see both sides of the argument . I'm sure it will become known as a classic song that stirred up a bit of (as Prince once sang) Controversey! Enjoy!

November 2008 - White Denim

Shake Shake Shake! yeah yeah yeah! A very raw and refreshing new realease from "White Denim". I got a great buzz when I heard this one, it's totally hectic and wild! Will it make it to number one? Only you the listener can decide that!! Give it a shot the video is on the right, you won't regret it, with fantastic riff's and bass line to make this a classic track! As you can probably tell the Ed loves this kinda stuff! ;-)) (ed).

October 2008 - Cyndi Lauper

Cyndi has been around for a while now but never fails to produce original new sounds, an artist in the true sense of the word. Every time I listen to a new Cyndi Lauper track I'm always blown away by the freshness and originality. If you haven't heard it yet you must listen to Cyndi's latest track "Into The Nightlife" (video on the right or you can hear it on Cyndi's MySpace page) when I first heard it I didn't realize it was Cyndi, very modern intro, then when the rousing chorus came belting out I thought "I know that voice?", sure enough the amazing Cyndi Lauper had caught my attention again! An awesome track it should do well in the charts and the clubs, I'll even put money on it being number one before christmas! It's such a great track I had to feature Cyndi this month! Once you've listened to "Into the Nightlife" make sure you listen to"Echo" I'm off to give em a mix! (ed).

August/Sept 2008 - Honor Bright

A young band from New York set to storm the charts with their new album release "If This Was A Movie" Enthusiastic, upbeat with a progressively strong and heavy sound Honor Bright are sure to win fans in every corner of the world.with tracks like "Home is a Heartache" , "Let your fists do the talking" and "Roads" If you're new to Honor Bright make sure you listen to some of their early tracks like "Take My Hand" and "Side Effects May Include" from their debut album. June /July 2008 - Jonas Brothers

A band with something for everyone? Some will surely disagree! With the exception of their Kim Wilde'ish cover they do have a great sense of freshness in the sound they are currently producing. Have a listen to their release imminent single "S.O.S.”on myspace for a taste of what these lads can produce. When you're there don't forget to listen to the excellent "Hold On" really nicely done guys, can't wait to see what you're gonna do next! (ed).

Feb/March 2008 - Elliot Minor

Still figuring it out ??? Let me know if you aren't cos I'd like to know your secret... if like me you haven't figured it out and still enjoy listening to the "music of the 80's and 90's" but also enjoy new music of the 00's then this band is for you. Young, hip and fresh! They are producing some great Indie tracks that absolutely rock! It really is great to know that music like this is still being produced. Have a listen to "Jessica" on myspace a track in which Elliot Minor play a strong uplifting music and add their superb vocal harmonics to make this a classic track that you will be play over and over. And don't forget to listen to "Still figuring out" a short sample of which can be heard on myspace, the myspace sample has missed out the intro, arguably the best part of the track. "Still figuring out" opens quietly and rises through each verse into rousing upbeat chorus which I defy you not to start singing along to! What's that you've not bought the album yet? You'd better get your copy now before they are all sold out !!! (Ed)

January 2008 - The Rumble Strips

The Rumble Strips don't sound like anyone else out there at the moment which is great news for your eardrums! Give them a real treat and have a listen to "Girls and Boys in Love" on Myspace and don't forget to let the player run on to take in their rendition of the "Thin Lizzy" hit "The Boys Are Back in Town" I think Phil Lynott would approve of their brilliant bluesey mix of strings and brass!! Kate is a singer and songwriter from Oslo in Norway. Her debut album, the electronica-infused "Melankton" was released in 2006.
